Fo' sho'! Just pick a campsite that's not overrun by rock climbers. Last time I stayed there, they kept me up all night with their hootin' and hoolerin'!

YES! I haven't been to Joshua tree since I was, I dunno...4? Holy cow, I'm way in! I'll bring my camping gear, and I should have snake wrangling stuff by then for sure :D I'm totally stoked, and I'm down for picking people up on the way (I'm in Santa Barbara). I'll also bring tons of distilled water so we have plenty of good, pure, drinking stuff.

As long as it doesn't cross paths with the spring Arizona trip (currently scheduled for April 17th to 21st...give or take a couple days on either side for me because I might not be ready to leave AZ by then) then I'm in. I went to JT in February. The only time I have ever been, and it was snowing.

I say we lean the trip more into early May. Good scorpion/snake time then! We might even catch a glimpse of a tortoise!

Rosy Boas! I'd love to go on this trip, but it depends how many classes I'm missing for the Arizona outing.

Mid May sounds perfect.
I'm in. That makes April and May booked.

I found a list on their website:

http://www.joshua.tree.national-park.com/camping.htm#camp

I'm not picky, but I think the lower elevations might have more reptiles, since higher elevations can get pretty darn chilly some nights in the big sand-box.

I'm good for anything.
There's lots of great herping both in and outside of the park.

I'm looking at indian cove as far as the camp grounds go it sounds nice. and not to mention theres a lot of desert tortoise sightings in that area. I would love to get some pics of one. not to mention that its a large area and close to the oasis. so i would assume that theres something in it for invert lovers a well and maybe some amphibious life as well.

What do you guys say on May 21-24-ish? It'll be toasty, so we may want to start early in the morning and evenings, then go black lighting when night falls.

I hope no one forgot about this trip!

I'm backing out. IF I'm not herping in Arkansas then, chances are I'll be back in Arizona. I kinda fell in love with that place. Haha
